Full-cycle wheel calculator
Enter one complete wheel cycle, from the first put sold to the final close. All amounts are per share. Separate several premiums with commas (for example 1.55, 2.27, 1.08). Leave anything that didn't happen blank.
Enter your numbers to see results.
The formulas
Premium income = put premiums + call premiums − put closing costs − call closing costs
Share gain/loss = share sale price − assigned strike (only when both are entered; if you're still holding, it's left out and the result is labeled "open")
Net P/L = (premium income + dividends + share gain/loss) × 100 × contracts − fees
Adjusted cost basis = assigned strike − net premium income − dividends
Return on capital at risk = net P/L ÷ (capital at risk × 100 × contracts)
Annualized return = return on capital at risk × 365 ÷ days held (simple, not compounded)
